       Be More Productive Making Money Working At Home.

 Honest and Straight Forward Ways To Be Productive When Having A Home Based, Internet, or MLM Business! So, you have decided to work at home, great decision! The luxury life of working from home in your sweats! You have more time for the children, you can get the household chores done while making money, go on vacation anytime you want. Auh, the money coming in and the balance of the family life. That sounds so great however that is not reality, well maybe not yet!

 The real world is like this, since you work at home, family and friends seem to think that you are just sitting at home eating bon bons and watching soap operas! Yes, my father said that to me.

The real world of working at home is confusion when it comes to balance, juggling family and work, feeling like you work all of the time, lack of structure, and loss of self, lack of socialization, and distractions, distractions, distractions. Never fear, if I can do you it, you can too!


 I started working from home a few years ago and WOW what an eye opener. I think for the first couple of months I really did not work. I found myself doing busy work, not productive work. I will tell you this….my house was SUPER CLEAN.
 I have come to realize that I do struggle with structure because I will jump to help someone else before I help myself. That was my excuse for not being productive. I still have to remind myself and others of my working hours. I do teach my son, Synjin, school at home, he has a rare heart condition, and I take care of my grandson, Blaze, every day. If I can do it with this schedule, you can too!

Here are some tips to help you get the life you deserve without going crazy. 

Be More Productive Making Money Working At Home Business. 

1-Make a separate area for your work space.

 If you have a separate room available delegated it out for your work area. Place a note on the door stating your work hours and that you are not available during these times. If you have children, this will give them an idea of when they can have your attention. Also place a note at your apartment or home outside door stating that you are in hours of operation and only business inquiries during times, please. When I started working at home everyone thought I was home to chat, it drove me crazy! I love company and I am a very outgoing person but I had to work or else I was going to lose my house. Finally after a few months I had to start getting tough in a nice way!

 2-Let everyone know the hours that you work.

 If you do this people will not think that you are at beck and call for the world. Even now, family still asks me to pick up items, drop off items, or watch the children for an hour or two. This was a hard no for me because my personality is that I am a helper and I love watching the little ones.

 3- Get yourself into a work routine now!

 Set your hours and follow them. That also means when you are done with work, you are done! That e-mail, blog, tweet, Facebook post, proposal that you forgot about can be completed during the next day of operation. Take time for yourself and your family during the hours that not business hours and don’t sneak over to the office and complete that task when you should be rejuvenating yourself. You need to recharge yourself for the next day.

 4- Just because you work from home does not mean that you have to be a hermit.

 It is necessary that you get out of the house and socialize. Go to the gym, have coffee with your significant other, go take the children for lunch, take a class that you have always wanted to take. I did not do this for years and I found myself getting crabby, tired, looking terrible and feeling of identity loss.

 5- Outsource anything that you can.

 Outsourcing may not be in your business budget right now however it will be soon. Make sure that you put aside 10% of your profits for outsourcing and 20% for advertising. You can find an outsourcing service on the internet called fivver. You can outsource certain projects and it costs only five dollars per service rendered. I have used the service and I have always been extremely satisfied!

 6-Make family appointments after your work hours, if at all possible.

  Try to schedule medical and family appointments after your working hours. For myself that is the extremely difficult because my son, Synjin, has a rare heart condition and there are many doctors’ appointments.

 7- Home Office verses Home Work Make sure that you have a complete separation of your home office work (business) and you home work.

 Your home office is for business and making money, helping the world, and creating buzz about what you are up to in business. Homework are the items that need to be done to keep your home and life in smooth working order; such as paying bills, making appointments, picking up groceries, car maintenance, running errands. Make sure you do your homework not during your work hours if possible. If your car needs and oil change or your need to go run errands, do this during non-office hours. Do these tasks and errands during family time and make it out to be a fun run. My family and I call it a “fun run” because Synjin and Blaze know that if we are going to do tasks and run errands, we are also going to do or get something fun. Examples are getting an ice cream cone or a DVD for the weekend, we get reused DVDs because these DVDs are a third of the cost of new DVDs.

 8- Let technology work for you and be professional.

In my home office I have a main number and a Google number that rings to my cell phone for when I am mobile and I can regulate when I answer my phone. My main phone is the phone number I always use as my business line. Why do I have it ring to my cell phone? I am able to look at my cell phone to see if the number is coming from my main line. If the call is coming from my main line then I know it is a business call and sometimes I just can’t answer a business call because the dog is barking, the toddler is crying, or my son is have a breakdown because he does not know how to do the lab for Biology class. Be professional and let the call go through to voice mail. There is nothing more irritating than calling a business/home business and listening to a dog barking in the background.

 9- Make Your Office Comfortable.

Your office needs to be an environment in which you thrive. If you like music put music on. If you love candles, light a candle. If you love the beach put up pictures of the beach in your office. On that note, put up pictures of where you want to be in the next two to five years, financially, physically, emotionally, spiritually. Put up pictures of that exotic vacation you always wanted to bring your family on. This REALLY works, it is called visualization. I was made fun of when I started doing this and at times it was hard for me to ignore the comments. I wrote saying on my walls like, GIVERS GAIN, RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS, and MILLIONARE MINDSET. I was laughed at, but guess what? It really works.

10- Keep Your Dreams and Desires Close to Your Heart.

 No matter what your goal and no matter what your time frame you have to reach your goal, keep reminding yourself that you are going to achieve that goal. You can do it!

11- Get A System Get your daily system down and do it!

Also, get a business model that has proven to work for others. Just a word of caution, there are many, many, many of systems, products, fast lead generators on the internet that claim to make your business boom in a week. I know, I think that I have tried them ALL! I got lost on the internet with all of the hype and lost many months trying to find the perfect business model.

12- Blog Whatever you do for your business, tell the world.

 Start blogging to build your business, generate traffic and get qualified leads. This is where you can shine and tell everyone what you are about and how you can help out the world. Write articles about your business and put the article on your blog, write about something you learned about on the internet or in a class, write about how you got out of debit, who cares, just share!!!

WordPress is an awesome blogging platform however it can take quite some time to learn the SEO, plug ins, widgets, yada yadas. I strongly suggest to just start writing articles and let someone else figure out the technical steps for you.
